Simon Snaize: Bio

Simon Snaize

Born in the hard northern working town of York, where all there was to eat was coal and bicycles, I used to crouch in the streets, drinking out of puddles, waiting for the day when I would be saved from my torturous existence.

That momentous day arrived when a shining, very nearly new, SG style electricalistic guitar with wires and glowing switches found its way into my grubby mitts. One chorus riff of 'Whole Lotta Rosie' and a fumbled version of 'I've got a brand new combine harvester' later, and I was on the road to fame and fortune.

I left the slightly grimy windswept shores of merry old England and set out on an adventure to find the muse, some tunes, and maybe a sprinkling of talent. The upshot is that I became a producer, recorded an album, and now live back in York with Narelle, my American wife, an uncanny urge to say 'Neat', 'Gee' and 'Wicked Smart', and an urge to share it with all you lovely folk out there in the Cyber Soup.
